Mi-GMIS Awards 

 

Best IT Project of the Year Award was developed to recognize and foster creativity and innovation in the government sector with regards to Information Technology.  Projects will be evaluated based upon the following criteria:


Innovation: Has the project introduced new technologies, supported a new way of working or pioneered an original change in business processes?

 

Return on Investment: Has the project measurably and substantially improved the organization's ability to achieve its core goals? Has it dramatically enhanced the services offered to customers, staff or partners?

 

Quality of Management: Was the project completed on time and within budget? Did the project deliverables match or exceed the initial objectives?

 

Impact: What measures have been used to assess or quantify the success of the project? How has the project demonstrated technology's role as a vital enabler in improving organizational excellence, competitiveness or quality of service?

Best IT Security Project of the Year Award was developed to recognize the ever present threat to our infrastructure and the need for creative solutions for Information Technology Security.  Projects will be evaluated based upon the following criteria:


Innovation: Has the project introduced new technologies, supported a new way of working or pioneered an original change in business processes?

 

Return on Investment: Has the project measurably and substantially improved the organization's ability to achieve its core goals? Has it dramatically enhanced the services offered to customers, staff or partners?

The IT Professional of the Year Award recognizes outstanding individuals who advances and supports the use of technology within the government workplace to improve the efficiencies in government and services to the people. Individuals will be evaluated based upon the following criteria:
